In their words
“I didn’t realize all of the things I couldn’t see until all of a sudden I could see details again.”
Before IrisVision
Cameron Migs is a Monster Truck Mechanic from Kentucky who has Juvenile Macular Degeneration, a vision impairment that affects individuals in their teenage and adolescent years. It causes the deterioration of the eye’s macula. The macula is responsible for your central vision and allows you to see fine details clearly. Due to JMD, Cameron has a hard time reading, seeing in dimly lit or dark areas, and seeing faces and details. When I asked Cameron how having low vision impacts his life, he said simply, “it sucks.” He explained that as a child, he had perfect vision that suddenly deteriorated, “leaving me with a vision that is not nearly as good as it was back then.” The first time Cameron tried IrisVision, he was certainly intrigued.
After IrisVision
Cameron continued, “There are so many benefits to IrisVision for me. “I do not have to sit in front of the TV to watch shows. I can watch comfortably from my couch with the TV mode on IrisVision. And I can see my phone screen without holding it up close too!” he says.
“I would recommend it to anyone who cannot see well,” Cameron said. “I promise you, it will change the way you do things.”
