Comparative effectiveness between two types of head-mounted magnification modes using a smartphone-based virtual display
In a randomized home trial of 88 people with low vision, both IrisVision magnification modes — full-field and virtual bioptic — produced large, statistically significant improvements in self-reported reading ability (Cohen's d = 0.82–1.00).

In an at-home clinical outcome study, IrisVision produced large, statistically significant improvements in reading ability (Cohen's d = 1.28) and visual-information tasks (d = 1.11), with participants rating the system 7.1 out of 10.
